You are cordially invited (though through a relatively crude medium) to come rock some east coast ice with us, this Monday. In the spirit of honoring the late Dr. King, we will be taking to the slopes of Mountain Creek Resort, in the lovely Garden State of New Jersey. Sorry about the short notice. But hey, we thought we were moving until, well, today. January has been a heluvva month for most of us, why not unwind by making some turns on the groomers? Hit me up, if you are down.

During my stint in midtown this week, Although working my fingers to the bone, I was able to get a couple of kind of cool pictures. During one of our all nighters, I snapped the pic above, at sunrise. The one directly below was also taken at sunrise, facing East, down 42nd St.

If you read the news much, you may have also heard about the plane that landed in the Hudson yesterday. I took a couple of long distance shots of tha t incident, as well.

In the one above, the sun was so bright, coming through the clouds, that you could barely see anything. In the one below, you can see the tail fin of the plane, sticking up out of the water, next to the tugboat that it was tethered to.

I have been off the grid. But I’ll be back in action soon.

The last 10 days, or so, I have been nailed to the wall, at work (figuratively, hahaha). Anyway, I know that it has been really hard for her to have me away so much, especially since she has been so sick. Anyway, I came home last night and found this on the door. In case you can’t read the little notes, they are all reasons why Reagan thinks I’m great. I have been smiling pretty much all day about it. Thanks baby. You are pretty darn great, yourself

I am working remotely today from another firm’s office in the Conde Naste building. It is pretty quiet on this floor, and we have a great view. So it is a little bit of consolation.

I know that I have been complaining about moving and apartment shopping, a lot. So, I apologize. I feel like it is all being compounded by how crazy work has been, though. In addition to finding new digs, we are looking for someone cool to take our spot. Our current building manager is really cool, and is willing to waive application fees and extend a below market rate, rental price to anyone that we refer as a new tenant for our place. When I got on the train this morning, the sun was out, and it looked like it was going to be a beautiful day. When I came above ground, in the financial district, it was snowing sideways. Go figure.

The upside to living at my desk (again) is that I have such a wide variety of options for dinner every night. Reagan told me that she was having pizza today for lunch. It sounded so good when she told me, that I pretty much decided right then, I was going to have it for dinner. It was delicious, and I can feel it making me fatter as I’m sitting here typing this.

The apartment hunt has come to a stalemate. Reagan and I found a place that we really like. We submitted an application, only to find out that the deal, as advertised, was not exactly what it appeared to be. Yep, we got sucked into the ‘ol bait and switch. We really do like the apartment though. So we are currently in aggressive negotiations to get a deal we are comfortable with, on the place. Who knows if it will pan out. I’m kind of hoping that it does. Because frankly, I’m tired of looking. Plus, I suddenly have zero time to look.  Anyway, cross your fingers for us, that our offer will be accepted.

I’m really going to blabber on this time. Plus, I don’t really have a lot of spare time. I was just sitting here working, this song was on the playlist rotation and I felt like sharing it. I actually don’t really know much about the Cardigans, except that they are Sweedish, I think. Hahahaha. I like a lot of their songs. Reagan and I both love “Plain Parade.” She has it on here little blog playlist. Anyway, this song is called “Sick and Tired.” Click here if you feel like checking it out.

Yesterday was my first day back to work, after all of my time off. I can already say that I wish I was back on vacation, hahahaha. I guess that it doesn’t help, that I came back to a headache of a deal, with a bunch of super stressed out (rightly so) people. I would probably still be there (instead of working from home), if the Toyota service center didn’t close at 9.

Anyway, I wish that I could get back to the Atlanta Police station in the pic. It is actually no longer used as a police station, but as a Music studio. Reagan’s sister and brother-in-law rent a space there to practice. We had a really fun jam session there, while Reagan and I were visiting, over Christmas weekend.

Alas, I couldn’t put off working and apartment shopping forever.
