For the first time in my life, I did karaoke with Reagan and some of our friends, on Saturday night. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I was definitely the worst person in our group. But, that didn’t keep me from having fun watching everyone else. Yes, there was a kick line at one point.

After our karaoke session, we had some Korean dumplings, then spent some time browsing one of the Koreatown supermarkets. They has some seriously tasty hard candy. No, it didn’t come in the cool fish cans, above (unfortunately). I liked the fish on the cans because they look so friendly.

If you like Korean hard candy, then chances are good that you’d like the banana flavored milk (banana oo-yoo) and the honeydew melon flavored ice bars (melon bar). If you’re feeling adventurous, give ‘em a try next time. They’re both available in single servings at H-Mart on 32nd Street when you first walk in. Ice bars to your left and drinks to your right. (And the fish in the can? Mackerel!)

@julia: Thanks, Julia! I will totally check that stuff out. I was a little bit overwhelmed by the selection of new (to me) stuff that was available at the market. PS, I was totally thinking of you when we were hanging out in Koreatown!
