On the heels of a post where I wrote that “I hate to get too video heavy,” I am posting yet another video. I give you part II of the interview that Reagan did with me on P-day ’11. FYI, I don’t know if I’m going to be allowed to post the second half of the Reagan interview. Because, we get in a fight about Snooki, and Reagan thinks that I’m talking kind of mean in it. Which.. I do talk kind of mean, but it is mostly about Snooki. Anyway–
I hate to get too video heavy on here. I am one of those people who generally won’t even watch a video until I see it show up in at least 2 or 3 places. But there are certain subjects that get me hooked from the title. Longboarding+Madrid=can’t really go wrong. This thing is beautifully shot. It definitely kept my attention for the full 5 minutes. Check it out, if you love longboarding too.
Ok, here is the first segment of the Reagan interview that we did on Presidents’ day. Please don’t fault me for leaving off the apostrophe after “Presidents” in the lead-in credits. Reagan discusses her admiration of Gaga, her love for bowling and various other things. It’s kind of lengthy… 7:32. Your call. Enjoy.
It is a rainy Friday in this neck of the woods. It has been a rough couple of days. Our hosting has been on the fritz. We were offline for about half of the day, yesterday. So freaking annoying. Anyway, I shot this pretty cool thing at the Reed Space last night. I picked up a shirt from the event, featuring some of the artist’s work. Then I promptly left it somewhere. Then it started raining. When I got home, I had to run right back out into the rain to get some gatorade and crackers for my sickly little wife (who is finally feeling better this morning). And it is still raining. But all of that is ok, because it is once again Friday. Friday means reprieve. The photos above and below are just some crap that I snapped last night while I was waiting for the F train at Delancey. I liked the bokeh that the track signals made.
Have a great weekend!
We did a couple of dumb little interviews a while ago (mine, Reagan’s), when we drove to VA. Reagan didn’t really like the way she looked in hers, so she never posted it. But, she did like the idea. Anyway, we did a couple more of these on Monday night, since it was a holiday, and all. I don’t think that they are that great, but it was kind of fun to make them. I didn’t really spend much time editing. After completely botching the first part of the video below (and didn’t feel like it was worth the time to fix it), I decided to leave them uncut, for the most part. I did divide both of our interviews into two parts though, because they were getting long winded. I mean— what is this, Barbara Walters? I’ll post the first half of Reagan’s interview later this week. But I have decided that I’m not the best at coming up with leading questions like she is. So, if you would like to help me out with some questions to ask Reagan in her next interview, hit me at interview@reagansblob.com. Try to keep it light hearted (i.e. no politics, religion or other widely controversial topics) please.
In any case, here is part one of Reagan interviewing me, in which I discuss my beard, Mr. Ed and other important things. Notice how Reagan asks questions like she is playing the part of Miley Cyrus on the SNL talk show skit, bombarding me with 50 questions at a time. I think that I do a reasonably good job remaining calm under pressure. The background music for this entire series is Biggie’s “I got a story to tell” instrumental. These videos will probably make you hate it. Sorry, Biggie.
Alas, I have decided to remove this video. It is probably just paranoia on my part. But, I got nervous about publishing a discussion that involved office politics, even if it is tongue in cheek. I feel like the video was kind of crap, anyway. I will probably post the second half of it next week (which I think is safe), after posting Reagan’s. K? K.
The long weekend was a lot more blah than I was hoping it to be. I did our taxes, confirming my suspicions that we owed a lot. The weather was cold, windy and gross. Then to top it off, we got more snow on Monday (above). Don’t get me wrong, the visits with Piper were great. In fact, she did something that really made me proud. She totally dismantled a little toy piano (in the foreground, below) that Reagan got for her a few months ago.
Luckily, I was able to put it back together. Piper wanted to help, so bad. Reagan had to really restrain her. Hahahah.
Anyway, today I have decided to cast off the blah. I woke up super early and took Greta in for her 90 Day service. The poor girl was already starting to fall apart on us (slowly leaking tire and malfunctioning touch screen). So, she will likely be in the shop until Friday. Then I came into work super early and was able to get a jump on things. Even though the temps won’t break the 20′s today, it is supposed to get gradually warmer as the week wears on. I’m hoping to take advantage and put a few more km’s on my running shoes before our first race, coming up in March.
Things to look forward to: 1. Sam (my brother) will be back here in a week; 2. MotoGP 2011 season now starts in less than one month; 3. After we pay taxes (probably later this week), we can start planning a spring vacay.
Despite what I like to tell myself, not everything French is total crap. Some French stuff is actually quite good. Phoenix, for example, is pretty decent. I have to admit that I’m not super familiar with their work outside of their most recent studio album release “Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix.” The album is pretty good. But what is even better, in my opinion, are the stacks of remixed tracks from that album. I have previously used one of such tunes for one of Reagan’s little hair tutorials. The track that I’m sharing here is the 25 Hrs a Day remix of “Fences.” Give it a spin.

I dreamed about snowboarding all night, then woke up to 4 inches of snow on the ground and this video in multiple spots on my reader feed. Sometimes life is so cruel. Happy Presidents Day.
Piper was in a grand mood when we saw her on Saturday. She was smiling at just about everything. We took her on a little walk to one of our favorite little nooks on her floor. Reagan snapped a couple of photos of Piper and I messing about. They are probably some of my favorite shots of me with Piper, to date. So, thanks Reagy.
For whatever reason, Piper thought that being on my shoulders was the funniest thing ever. She was cracking up, the whole time I had her up there. Most of the time she had a handful of my hair in her little fist, to make sure she felt safe.
Of course I snapped a few of my girls together, also.
