Friday night we went out for Reagan’s birthday. We had dinner at Dos Caminos in in the MPD, then spent the rest of the night at a little lounge around the corner. I really like the photo below because of the deer in the headlights effect.

This shot is from the other night when we were doing tutorials. She told me that she was trying to pose like the photographers used to make the kids do on school picture day. Perfect.

Since Monday, it has been kind of a “blah” week. I think that a lot of it has to do with the weather. It is still bloody cold as all get out. But at least the sun is out today. It never feels as cold when there is a little bit of solar radiation making its way through the atmosphere.

Last night, one of Reagan’s friends came over and was a hair model for some HDOF tutorials (above). We had a pretty fun time shooting and hanging out. I’m really looking forward to getting this weekend started. Reagan’s B-day is tomorrow night (we will be going out to dinner). Then later this weekend we are going to try to organize a little get-together with some friends to go bowling. Yes, we will be having our own super BOWL. Hahahaha. I wish that I could take credit for the cheesy pun. M. Cuomo came up with it. Enjoy the sunshine!

I was approached in early December by the editor, about using a shot of the Roa mural at Factory Fresh Brooklyn. After he checked out the rest of my photo blog he asked me if I wouldn’t mind doing an interview. Of course I was totally stoked (and still am) about it. Thanks again for the opportunity, JG!

Right now is restaurant week in NYC. It is pretty convenient timing, for anniversary and birthday dinners. It make dinners that would normally break the bank affordable for us common folk. We started the evening off last night at Nino’s Tuscany in midtown west. We spent about 2 hours there before heading to Korea town. We had a two hour reservation at a booth Karaoke place starting at 9:30. Before we knew it, it was 2 A.M and we were still singing our guts out. As totally nerdy as this all must sound. It was the most fun that I have had in ages. Reagan was in full rock-star form. I had more fun watching her than I did taking my turns on the mic. Good times fo’ sho’. In other news, apparently Piper has decided to make taking unassisted steps the cutest thing on the planet.

Maybe one day I should make a mix tape of power tunes. You know the ones? The ones that kind of help you get through those times when you wish you could write a song, but then you found somebody who expressed what was on your mind a little better than you thought anyone else could? Stretch Arm Strong kind of did that for me. These guys kind of carried me through some tough spots in high school. You may have already heard their version of “Get This Party Started” from Punk Goes Pop or perhaps “Express Yourself” from Too Legit for the Pit: Hardcore Takes the Rap. “For the Record” is one of their originals that may have made it around the airwaves as well. Anyway, I am not super into hardcore as a genre, however there are a few artists who have managed to pluck my little heartstrings with the way they scream poetry. This group is one of them, and they did it with this song.

Stretch Arm Strong: For Now.
