This week the grand ol’ prize is a t-shirt. Not just any t-shirt. It is a t-shirt with a design by the artist Wissam Shawkat. The artist it awesome. The shirt was designed in connection with Staple design. Wearing this shirt is like wearing the Mona Lisa, except tipping the charts into the “cool” spectrum rather than the wolves with moon spectrum. At least, I think so.
The contest: I received like 90 emails (4 emails and a tweet) last time telling me that my giveaway method was flawed. I guess people really wanted that turntable watch bad, or something. Anyway, this go-around the contest will be a bit more like the standard blahg giveaway crap that people are used to seeing. Happy? To win this mens size L shirt (for your husband/boyfriend), please leave a comment describing why this shirt is so much more awesome than the other t-shirts you (your husband/guy pal) have (I’m looking at you Obama). On Sunday, I will choose the comment that I like the most (or at least narrow it down to two [assuming that two or more people comment], then flip a coin). Aaaaaanndddd Go!

This t-shirt is so much cooler than the two my husband seems to alternate when we go out in public. One is a Nas t-shirt that he acquired working at a music store within the last 10 years, featuring this on the front:

And the other is an XXL t-shirt my sister gave to him as a joke that says “Don’t mess with Texas.” My husband is 6’2″ about 170, so you can imagine that looks pretty redonk! Oh, and we live in Georgia, not Texas.
I don’t want this t-shirt but I just wanted to say I think it’s pretty cool that you are doing giveaways!
I am totally dying that you received emails saying that your giveaway method is flawed! It’s your giveaway, your method can be as flawed as you want!
My husband still wears a t-shirt that I had in junior high. The thing is so ragged and falling apart that he now has to wear another t-shirt underneath it to keep it from just bursting into dust.
WOO HOO!
I would just like to say that I think your first giveaway was the best and most interesting method anyone has ever come up with, ever. I swear I would say that even if I hadn’t won.
Also, that watch has earned Col some major street cred with his 10th graders.
Isn’t it crazy how much people love free stuff, and how crazy they get about it? (No offense to those 5 people who complained.) I thought your first giveaway methodology was awesome, even though I’m ignorant and had zero chance of winning.
Seeing as I have a slight chance of winning this giveaway, my brother in law would probably love this shirt, and it happens to be his size. We’re constantly sending t-shirts back and forth between L.A. and Cape Town to ensure Laird and his brother are always That Guy With The Cool T-Shirt Not Available In (insert city/country here). The Shawkat/Staple shirt would take our That Guy game to a new level of awesomeness.
And HAHAHAHAHAHA Obama in his wolves with moon shirt.
this shirt is better than any other t-shirt because of teh beautiful artwork that adorns it! i went to the opening of his show at the reed space a few weeks back, and badly wished i had an extra $8,000 to buy a piece for my apartment. i would settle for a tshirt 🙂
The first giveaway was fine. I had no clue to any of the answers, but that is what made it good. I actually learned something.
Set the bar high and lets see who rises to the occassion.
