subnap.jpg

I’m not really sure what was going on here. It was raining like cats and dogs outside, so I can see wanting to get out of the weather and have a nap. But, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that there may have been a more low profile way to go about it, than camping right outside of the turnstiles at rush hour. Maybe the 1000 stairs, on the way up from the mezzanine did him and and he just couldn’t make it any farther without some rest. Whatever the case was, it was right in front of an MTA booth that is open 24 hours. Neither of the attendants seemed to mind, nor did anyone else. I hope he had some good dreams.

Grouchy Piper Sleepy Piper

Piper was a little bit cranky when we arrived in Westchester County today. It turned out that she, like most people was just having a tough time adjusting to Daylight Savings. In the picture on the left, she is being fussy and unsettled. It didn’t take her long to pass out completely (as seen in the pic on the right). She must have been totally exhausted too. Because, frankly, that doesn’t look like it is particularly the most comfortable position to be sleeping in, especially for the nose. After I hogged her for a while, I was able to pass her off to Reagan without her even waking up. The rest of the photos from today, can be found here.

I was pretty excited to see Piper today. I hadn’t really seen her awake, and been able to play with her, for what seems like several weeks. When we arrived, Piper was like this:

I was glad that she was getting some rest, and was kind of wishing that I could too. Shortly thereafter, I looked next to me and saw this:

I was the only one that didn’t get a nap today :(
