We saw some pretty cool stuff, Friday night. The Roa exhibit at Factory Fresh in Brooklyn was amazing (above). We went a bit early, so that we could make it to the P-Pit show before the doors opened to the public. As a result, we were able to see Roa finishing up his installation and meet the guy. It was really cool.

Afterward, we rolled back to the meat packing district for the Passion Pit show. It was a promo show that they only let a few people into. Reagan and I had a blast.

Saturday morning, we ran a 10k, before heading to Westchester to visit Piper. She was in a great mood the whole time. She was even a bit on the rowdy side, which I like to see (makes me think that she takes after me, a bit).

Alright, normally I wouldn’t just do a wholesale repost of something else, but dude, this made me laugh so hard that it hurt. In case the image above is illegible, the version of the story that I read, showed up today in Gothamist. A disgruntled New Yorker named Dalton Chiscolm is suing the Bank of America for “1,784 billion, trillion dollars.” Among other awesome facts, the judge reviewing the suit is the same guy who doled out Bernie Madoff’s sentence. But the post really peaks toward the end.

NYU mathematician Sylvain Cappell tells Reuters, “These are the kind of numbers you deal with only on a cosmic scale. If he thinks Bank of America has branches on every planet in the cosmos, then it might start to make some sense.”

Ok this part is so sublimely retarded and funny on so many levels that I was sitting at my desk literally laughing at full volume. It is so ridiculous: (a) that Reuters actually went through the trouble to consult a mathematician about this case, which is so clearly just another crack-pot with too much extra time and cash on his hands.; and, (b) that the mathematician, instead of shrugging off the amount as preposterous, qualified the scope of the requested damages by saying that they “might start to make sense” if the claimant thought that BOA had branches on every planet in the cosmos. If only all reading material were so rich.

When I was out moving the car yesterday morning. I came across this litigation bag, next to a pile of trash. It was full of Christmas ornaments. Can you imagine trying to litigate using Christmas ornaments as files? Apparently it didn’t work out too well.

I had to repost this thing from Gothamist. I thought it was so great. Those little homies in Staten, know how to get down. I was dying over how much the kid singing the solo, was getting into it. Check it out:

It was such a nice day outside yesterday, that I had to take a little stroll for lunch. I headed over to the Brooklyn Banks to watch some kids skate. Sadly, there weren’t very many people skating over there, when I arrived. There are a lot of new installations, since the last time I skated over there.

I saw a new fun box, as well as a volcano spine. I feel like I should get down there soon and skate. It was a beautiful walk though, and I’m glad that I went over.

I know that I have been complaining about moving and apartment shopping, a lot. So, I apologize. I feel like it is all being compounded by how crazy work has been, though. In addition to finding new digs, we are looking for someone cool to take our spot. Our current building manager is really cool, and is willing to waive application fees and extend a below market rate, rental price to anyone that we refer as a new tenant for our place. So, if you, or someone that you know might be interested in our place, get in touch with me. If you need an independent reference about what a great apartment it is, Take Maya’s word for it.

Yesterday was my first day back to work, after all of my time off. I can already say that I wish I was back on vacation, hahahaha. I guess that it doesn’t help, that I came back to a headache of a deal, with a bunch of super stressed out (rightly so) people. I would probably still be there (instead of working from home), if the Toyota service center didn’t close at 9.

Anyway, I wish that I could get back to the Atlanta Police station in the pic. It is actually no longer used as a police station, but as a Music studio. Reagan’s sister and brother-in-law rent a space there to practice. We had a really fun jam session there, while Reagan and I were visiting, over Christmas weekend.

Alas, I couldn’t put off working and apartment shopping forever.
